Machine Embroidery Sketching the Seasons Award Winning Quilter Nancy Prince

Fun! Fun! Fun!

Sketching the Seasons takes an old technique, thread sketching, which has caught the attention of today's embroiders, and gives them a new and creative way to use their embroidery machine to create heartwarming projects.

Five 8 ½”x11” seasonal machine embroidered landscapes and eight striking companion vignettes create eye-pleasing designs that transport you to a simpler way of life. The little log cabin is a rural look at the beauty of a fall day where you can just imagine the crispness in the air. In a Frosty winter night you can almost feel the warmth of the fire inside and envision the memories of a day of children at play. No matter which season you are embroidering you are sure to feel enchanted.

Embroidered Landscapes
Embroidered Landscapes currently not available

Welcome to my new adventure into Embroidered Landscapes. I am very excited about this new pathway and hope you will be too. So what made me decide to venture into machine embroidery? Well, I owe this little adventure all to you!!!

As I have taught around the country, many of you expressed an interest in landscapes, but indicated you prefer your embroidery machine to thread painting, plus you want everything in a kit. So, to accommodate your wish, I have taken the plunge.

So what makes my embroidery different from everyone else’s?  Not only do my Embroidery Landscapes kits include a CD with digitized designs, they also include custom printed background fabric, custom printed accessory fabric (houses, barns, quilts, etc) plus instructions to complete the quilt top.

All you need to complete the projects are thread, border, backing and binding fabric and batting. So how about taking the plunge and give Embroidered Landscapes a try. It will be fun!!

Goin’ Fishin’ includes the custom printed background fabric and small sail boat in the distance. A little thread and stabilizer and you are ready to begin. Goin’ Fishin’ is a step back to a simpler way of life.  (Requires 5" x 7" hoop or larger) (Kit includes)

Weekend at Grandma’s – 30” x 21” (Image Details)

Weekend at Grandma’s is the 2 nd in my Embroidered Landscape series. It takes a bit longer to complete than Country Roads, but the quilt is larger and there are a few more adorable designs to embroider. As with Country Roads, the kit includes the custom printed background fabric along with custom printed barn, house and small quilts. Adding a small piece of flannel behind the barn and house gives them a bit more dimension so it looks like you could just pop over to Grandma’s for a visit. (Requires 5" x 7" hoop or larger) (Kit includes)
