Zoom is a video call, except instead of a phone number, you use the email address of the person you want to call. It is the next best thing to being there. You feel like your family and friends are in the room with you, the only things missing are hugs and kisses. And when taking Nancy's workshops you will be looking over her shoulder. Zoom allows participants to engage in hobbies and projects and play games together!
My workshop simplifies Zoom. The workshop objective is to make Zoom as simple as making a phone call. The workshop uses non-techie words and moves at a comfortable pace. If needed, I provide extra one-on-one help after the workshop.
When you complete this workshop you will be able to use Zoom to:
- Talk to friends and family
- Take live Zoom workshops with your favorite teachers
- Teach a grandchild how to cook and sew
- Play games, do hobbies and projects with friends and family
Regardless of your computer skills, I promise this workshop will have you doing all these things!
When you sign up for the workshop, you will receive links to three videos showing you:
- How to set up a Zoom account*
- How to select the best settings for a perfect Zoom experience*
- How to install the Zoom app on your computer, smartphone, and tablet*
* If you prefer, I will perform these tasks for you.
After Zoom has been installed on your device(s), we will have two 1-hour live Zoom workshops:
- How to participate in meetings and how to use the Zoom controls
- How to initiate a Zoom meeting
Finally, you and I will have a one-on-one 15± minute Zoom meeting to practice your Zoom skills.
Reference sheets will be provided as easy guides for using the Zoom controls and setting up your meetings.
- Must have a PC or Apple computer with a webcam (laptops have built-in webcams) If you need a webcam, consider a Logitech C920 Pro HD

Do you know how to avoid a bad online shopping experience?
1-hour Workshop
$35
Far too often a Christmas gift purchase turns into a nightmare. Maybe it was not the right gift, perhaps it is defective or missing a piece, the wrong size, the wrong color, or maybe you never received the item. Now you get ready to contact the store and the horror begins. With a little due diligence, most of these nightmares can be avoided.
In this workshop, I will show you:
- Google search tips for finding the right product, at the right price, from the right store.
- The 5 tests to determine if you should buy from a store.
Come join me and learn how to identify online store hidden traps. This tip could be the difference between a wonderful Christmas and a not-so-wonderful Christmas.
